Home of dynamic and engaging training delivered by highly qualified and experienced instructors who are passionate about their work.
Our courses ensure your staff are up to date with legislation, regulation, best practice and ethics giving them the knowledge and confidence essential to their role. At Abuka we make training both fun and memorable giving your staff an experience they want to repeat.
We offer zoom training for a number of our courses, which can be offered on a group basis.
Training can be provided at your choice of location or at our training centre in Greater Manchester.
Half and full day sessions are offered and can be provided on a one-to-one basis or to a group.
The courses use a variety of teaching methods including slides, videos, group work, demonstration by the trainer and practical sessions by the trainees. Trainers use either resuscitation manikins (when sessions are delivered away from our premises) or clinical manikins (when sessions are delivered at our premises), AED training units, choking vests, various dressings and casualty simulation equipment. Trainers also create problem solving scenarios to encourage attendees to use their skills and knowledge in “real world” scenarios.
Abuka delivers many courses in a variety of settings and are able to create an equipped training setting in any space that is suitable to deliver training in so we require no additional resources (with exception to Moving & Handling training).
Our courses are evaluated using a variety of methods. These include, trainer observation, section quizzes, practical assessment of the attendees throughout the duration of the course and formal marked questions at the end of the course.
At ABUKA, we regularly train care home staff and PA’s through NHS partnerships. All training aligns with the latest legislation and industry regulations and is always person centered.
Whether you’re based in a care home or provide exceptional care to patients within their own spaces, we offer courses to support a wide range of roles.
From manual handling techniques to specialist dementia care training, we deliver the knowledge and skills your team needs to provide the best care. We also offer flexible group training —either at our Stockport Training Centre or a location of your choice—so your whole team can learn together, when and where it suits you.
We partner with PHB holders, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and User-Led Organisations to provide comprehensive training for Personal Assistants (PAs) and family members. Our training encompasses essential, mandatory, and clinical skills. By providing teams with focused coaching, we equip PAs with the skills needed to give exceptional care.
We partner with councils to empower their health and social care workforce, ensuring they have the skills and competencies needed to deliver exceptional care. By working in collaboration with you (see our Trafford Council case study here), we design bespoke courses that focus on everything from management to medical skills.
Abuka have supported the Manchester locality to ensure all PHB holders who are Direct Employers are fully compliant with training and clinical competencies. Abuka took the stress out of achieving this by managing the entire project, from booking in with PAs to reporting back to the team. The Abuka team are always helpful and responsive and work collaboratively to ensure an all round excellent, personalised, service.
