Trafford Health and Care Training Collaborative
We are pleased to announce that Abuka is collaborating with Trafford Council and NHS Trafford to provide high quality training for Trafford’s health and care workforce.
The Trafford Health and Care Training Collaborative programme will be delivered by Abuka over the next year. This programme links to the work to support services in improving and maintaining the quality of care provided; and to Enhanced Health in Care Homes Framework.
Members of approved provider health and social care services in the Trafford area will have the opportunity to enrol on a variety of career enhancing courses for free. Those enrolled on the programme will have the opportunity to complete the following:
- Pressure Care and Tissue Viability
- React to Red
- Oral Health Care
- Clinical Observation and NEWS2
- Dementia Management
- and a variety of other CPD accredited training sessions
The Abuka, Trafford Council & Trafford NHS partnership aims to facilitate:
- Building equality and confidence in training
- Improved health care and outcomes
- Prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions
- Supporting rapid hospital discharge
Abuka will deliver training both online and face to face. We do this to offer the same opportunities to everyone.

Training sessions are free to all members of Trafford’s health and care workforce.
