Introduction

Confusion between the two conditions is not unusual when working with older people.  This course is designed to help staff recognise the difference between delirium (a potentially curable condition) and dementia (a incurable condition) enabling people to get the help they need quickly and improve their outcomes. 

Course Contents

Understanding the signs and impact of:

  • Alzheimer’s
  • Vascular Dementia
  • Dementia with Lewy Bodies
  • Fronto Temporal Dementia
  • Mixed Dementias

Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.
