Introduction

Urinary catheters and faecal stomas can increase a person’s chance of developing infection greatly if not properly cared for. This half day course gives those with responsibility for their care the knowledge and practical ways devices should be cared for, once fitted.

  • Problem spotting
  • Ostomies: Ileostomy, Colostomy, Jejunostomy, Gastrostomy
  • Ostomy care
  • Ostomy appliances: One piece and two piece
  • Ostomy accessories
  • Diet and ostomies

Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a CPD  certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.
