Mental Health Awareness

This half-day Mental Health Awareness course is suitable for nurses, carers and support workers.

Introduction

This one-day course is aimed at those providing care in a general setting who may either wish to move into a mental health setting or who have frequent contact within their current setting with patients/service users/residents who have mental health needs. Through the use of presentation, videos, group exercises and discussions, the training gives participants an insight into mental health including what mental health is, various conditions and the legislation that directly affects mental health treatment and care.

Course Outcomes

Your staff will be equipped with all the relevant knowledge and an understanding of the various mental health instances you may face within a care setting, and how to approach each.

Successful completion of this training course will result in the award of a CPD certificate covering all aspects of the above course contents.
